Friends/Supporters,
On behalf of our Board of Directors, I would like to inform you that the Ohio Regional Training Center won the first ever National Championship for regional clubs at the US Open this past weekend!!! We had 5 athletes place. Reece Humphrey and Tervel Dlagnev captured their first US Open titles!!! Shawn Bunch was 2nd, I (Tommy) finished 3rd, and James Yonushonis was 8th. We were able to win this while JD Bergman was forced to sit out because of injury (He will be back for the Trials in June, don't worry!!). We couldn't be more excited. We beasted powerful regional clubs such as Nittany Lion WC, Hawkeye WC, Cowboy WC, Finger Lakes WC, and the Olympic Training Center.
Special thanks to the RTC's leader on the mat, Head Coach, Lou Rosselli. Lou has been instrumental in luring Shawn, Tervel, and James to Columbus, while helping shape the freestyle careers of alumni Buckeye wrestlers in myself, JD, and Reece. He is the glue that keeps us competing at the highest level.
