Shawn Bunch 60kg

Shawn followed Lou Rosselli, his college coach at Edinboro, to Columbus in September of 2008. Shawn won the 2010 US Open in Cleveland.  Unforunately he fell a little short of his goal to make the 2010 World Team, by finsihing second in the world team trials.  Shawn is already working hard again to turn it around for the 2011 season.  Shawn made the US World Team in 2009 after defeating Mike Zadick at the World Team Trials. He is also the 2008 Olympic Alternate, Pan-Am Champion,  U.S. Open Champion, and 2x NCAA All-American. He is without question one of the most promising wrestlers in the United States for the 2012 Olympics.  Shawn competes in the 60kg weight class.

J.D. Bergman 96kg

J.D. Bergman in the 2010 US Open Champion, by beating Jake Varner in two straight matches.  J.D. is also the 2010 US World Team Member and will compete in Moscow September 11 representing the only RTC member.   J.D. was also a 3x All-American and NCAA runner-up for the Ohio State Wrestling Team and joined the Ohio RTC in September of 2008. J.D. is a multiple time age group national Champion, as well as a 2006 University World Team Member. J.D. will compete in a wide open 96kg weight class, and we are very excited about J.D.'s potential to win numerous world medals during this quadrennium.

J Jaggers 66kg

J Jaggers was a 3x All-American and 2x NCAA Champion for the Ohio State Wrestling Buckeyes over his college career. J joined the Ohio RTC in April of 2009 following his degree completion as a communications major. J is also currently the Ohio State Volunteer Assistant Coach and will be training full time in Columbus. J will compete at 66kg.

Tervel Dlagnev 120kg

2010: Second in World Team Trials… Pan American Championships gold medalist… Second in U.S. Open… Alexander Medved International champion.  2009: New York AC International Open champion… World bronze medalist… Heydar Aliyev Golden Grand Prix champion… U.S. World Team Trials champion… Second in U.S. Nationals… Third in Takhti Cup… Ukrainian Memorial International champion… Second in Dan Kolov International.  2008: New York AC International champion.  World University champion.  Third in U.S. Nationals.  2007: Sunkist Kids International Open champion.  Fourth in U.S. Nationals.  2006: Second in Northern Plains Regional.  College: 2007 and 2008 NCAA Division II champion at Nebraska-Kearney, where he was coached by Marc Bauer… Led UNK to Division II national team title in 2008, the first in school history… 2006 Midlands champion… Placed second in 2006 NCAA Division II tournament and placed sixth in 2005.  High School: Third in Texas state tournament in 2003… Fourth in state tournament in 2002 in just his second year of wrestling…

James Yonushonis 84kg

James was an NCAA All American at 174lbs for Penn State University in 2006.  He was a University National All American in 2007, and qualified for the World Team Trials in 2009.  James moved to the Ohio RTC to train in the Fall of 2009, and will be competing in the 84kg weight class.
